Matthew Fay, of Troop 164, Becomes Eagle Scout

Yorktown's Matthew R. Fay, of Troop 164, has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, which is the highest possible rank in the Boy Scouts of America.

For his Eagle Scout Project, Fay planned and constructed an outdoor classroom, which has seating for 32 children, next to the garden at Brookside Elementary School. He has earned 27 merit badges and has worked diligently towards becoming an Eagle Scout. 

Yorktown Councilman Vishnu Patel presented Fay a Congratulatory certificate on behalf of Yorktown Town Board members on Saturday, Nov. 20.
