A Great Success: Pumpkin Day at HHF
By Tom McLoughlin
Hilltop Hanover Farm of Yorktown Heights celebrated “Pumpkin Day” on Saturday, October 26th. The pleasant fall weather certainly contributed to the day’s success as families visited the Farm from 10:00 to 4:00 PM.

The Farm stand was the focal point of activities, for no one left without buying some freshly picked local produce. The complimentary donuts and hot cider also added to the festive mood. Families were able to walk the fields and select their own pumpkin. Other activities included face painting, carving your own pumpkin, hiking the trails, and enjoying a Farm tour. A 10% farm stand discount was provided to anyone in a Halloween costume. The farmers themselves dressed as the friendliest Zombies around!
If you missed this event, check the Farm’s website: www.hilltophanoverfarm.org for future programming that continues throughout the winter months. You are also invited to stop by (Tues- Sat) to pose in the newly created HHF stand in or cut out created with the help of Betsy Ho’s graphic talents.
