Yorktown Leo Club Holds First Meeting

The Yorktown Leo Club, the largest community service group in Yorktown for teens, is holding their first meeting of the 2010-2011 school year on Sunday, September 19 at 6 p.m. at Club Fit in Jefferson Valley.

Meetings are every other Sunday at Club Fit. 

The Leo Club is all inclusive, with members from the Yorktown and Lakeland school districts, as well as neighboring schools.

They participate in approximately two service projects each month and hold meetings twice a month. The Leos welcome new members to the club and look forward to a year conducting work that benefits the community.

During the first meeting, you can learn about the projects the Leos are involved in. You can earn community service hours while having fun and making new friends.

It is open to students 7th grade and up.
