Journaling 101: for Women Living with Cancer

Open to people living with breast or ovarian cancer

This ongoing monthly activity-based workshop facilitated by Robin Perlmutter, LMSW, a cancer survivor and Clinical Director at Support Connection, is based on the work of Kathleen Adams, internationally acclaimed pioneer in the field of journal therapy. Kathleen's work is supported by research that demonstrates the benefits of Journaling as a tool for healing. There are numerous ways that creating and keeping a journal can help one cope, draw strength, clarity and wisdom from their experience. Techniques will be presented to encourage participants to use the written word, language and art such as photographs and creative collage to give form to their journey with cancer.

No writing experience necessary. For those new to and already experienced with Journaling. Participants are welcome to come monthly or drop in as desired. Continued participation is not required. Registration is necessary. All materials will be provided.
