Tree of Life Tree Lighting Ceremony

On Friday, November
22nd, Hospice Care in Westchester & Putnam will kick off its 25th
annual Tree of Life celebration with a tree lighting ceremony at the
Jefferson Valley Mall.  The event, hosted
by Tom Furci, midday host at WHUD FM, will take place at 6:00pm.  Festive holiday musical entertainment will be
provided by the Taghkanic Chorale of Yorktown.  The event is open to the public and is free
of charge.  The Tree of Life will run
from November 22nd through December 24th at the Jefferson
Valley Mall.

The Tree
of Life
annual benefit raises funds to support Hospice Care in

Westchester & Putnam’s charitable community programs, including bereavement
support groups, art therapy, educational workshops, and financial support to
underserved populations.  It captures the

special meaning and spirit of the holiday season by providing an opportunity

for members of our community to remember or honor loved ones in a special

way.  Individuals may purchase ornamental
doves inscribed with the name of a loved one, which will be displayed on
evergreen trees at the Jefferson Valley Mall for the duration of the holiday
season.  Doves may be purchased in person
at the event location, by calling (914) 666-4228 or online at www.vnahv.org.

Hospice Care in
Westchester & Putnam would like to extend a special thank you to Dow
Chemical, Highland Pork and Lienhard School of Nursing for their generous
support of this year’s event.
