A public educational forum, of
particular interest to women with breast cancer at all stages, including those
who are newly diagnosed as well as those who are in
treatment.
Speaker: Dr. Asim Aijaz, an
Oncologist with Hudson Valley Hematology Oncology Associates, and Director of
Oncology Services at the Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Cancer Center at Hudson Valley
Hospital Center. Dr. Aijaz is a member of the American Board of Medical
Oncology, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Society of
Clinical Oncology.
Program will focus on issues
pertaining to breast cancer and chemotherapy. Topics to include: the latest
information on chemotherapy and hormone therapies; options for overcoming
chemotherapy resistance: when cancer becomes resistant to chemotherapy, what
can you do? A Question and Answer period will follow the
discussion.
