 Yorktown-Somers  See map

This event was put together by a couple of Carmel Central School District's students, Haley O' Connor, Margaret Chan, Hailey and Samatha Knox with the help and supervision of their mother Jamie Knox.

The event is being held at The Winery at St. George on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 3-6pm.

This event costs $10 dollars, there will be 12 performing acts, from musicians as well as a comedian and a pianist, featuring the Knox Sisters and AsmarA. The event is kid- friendly.

There will be raffles with a chance to win great prizes that were donated by Randovich and Dean, Carmel Diner, Carmel Cinema, and Magic Mirror Salon just to name a few.

All the proceeds will go to the Archdiocese of NY to help the families affected by hurricane sandy.

We hope to have a great turnout! This is going to be a fantastic event, you will have a good time and be supporting a great cause!

Big thanks to all the wonderful places that donated gift certificates and such to be used as prizes and a big thanks to The Winery at St. George for giving us the space to have our event!

Hope to see you there!

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
