The Katonah Village Improvement Society presents, "Sideways" and Academy Award winning movie. This film tells the story of Miles Raymond, (Paul Giamatti) who is an unsuccessful write, wine-aficionado and depressed middle school English teacher who takes his soon-to-be married actor friend and former college roommate Jack, (Thomas Haden Churh) on a road trip through the Santa Ynez Valley wine country. Miles wants to relax and live well. However, Jack wants one last fling before walking down the isle.
This fun and poignant comedy hits the gas en route to a mid-life crisis.
The film will be presented by Lawrence LaManna a local resident and Director of the Sommelier Wine Academy. He will be giving a presentation on the wines depicted in the film.
A reception will follow immediately after the movie.
