The 2014 April Fool's meeting of the Yorktown Town Board was excellent. It was the most engaging public hearing I've seen since this happened. Better than reality teevee, cause it's real.
I will be doing a multiple-part video analysis of the 4/1/2014 TB meeting over the next few days. I'll start with the well-spoken contingent from the "Trump" Park development. I am highlighting Mr. Lou D'Amico who really stole the show during courtesy of the floor; it is as if his words were a hammer smacking the nail/issue at hand squarely on the head.
How Yorktown could possibly not enforce the site plan and FORCE the developer to demolish his ~1.2 million dollar temporary structure in accordance with their written agreement/approval and provide the passive recreation facilities the Yorktown Land Trust is suing the town to enforce?
Our word means nothing, as I believe Nick Bianco put it, if we don't follow through on this. Shame on Mr. Numb-nuts developer for building such an expensive "temporary" structure he knew--unequivocally--would have to be demolished

I've said too much. Let's go to the video tape (several more snippets to come, shortly):
