Yorktown's Jessica Lynn to Celebrate Music Album Release

The local star is releasing her debut album "This Much Fun" with a party at the Winery at St. George in Mohegan Lake.

Yorktown's Jessica Lynn Calamera is making her debut in the world with the release of her first album 'This Much Fun,' which encompasses everything from driving in the car with friends on a sunny summer day, to heartbreak to falling in love.

"The songs detail significant moments and memories in my life and they are all extremely special to me in their own ways," said Calamera, who filmed and recorded her first television concert special and debut album completely live in October 2012 at the historic Winery at St. George in Mohegan Lake.

Now, she is celebrating her album release with a sold out party at the Winery on Saturday, Feb. 9.

"I’m almost positive that there is at least one song on the album that each listener will have a special connection with being that the songs talk about things that almost everyone has gone through at one point in their lives."

The 2008 Lakeland High School graduate has been surrounded by music her whole life – both of her parents, Peter and Victoria, are musicians and performers – and music has always been prominent in every aspect of her everyday life.

"Recording this album was extremely intense," she said. "We have been working so hard in the studio since October to produce exactly what we set out to achieve, and I am so excited to be sharing it with everyone finally."

Calamera said she hopes people can find inspiration within her album and realize that with hard work, persistence, and dedication to your dreams, anything is possible.

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
