Yorktown Cops Make Arrests for Violations of Order of Protection

In two separate incidents, police arrested two females, 17 and 46, for violating orders of protection.

Teen Arrested for Harassment

Yorktown police arrested a 17-year-old Mohegan Lake female after she harassed a Strawberry Road resident in violation of an order of protection, police said.

The teen, whose name police did not release, was arrested outside of Lakeland High School on Jan. 24 – about an hour after police received a call about the incident.

She was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. She was served with a temporary order of protection, released and scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 5.

A 46-year-old Shrub Oak woman is facing criminal charges for contacting a man in violation of an order of protection issued by the Putnam Valley Court, Yorktown police said.

The woman was arrested on Jan. 22 at her home and charged with second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated harassment, misdemeanors. She was released without bail and scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 29.
