It's Valentine's Day, the most romantic day of the year, and Patch is giving readers a chance to share a heartfelt message with their special person.

Donald and Myrna Frank, of Yorktown, celebrated their 55th anniversary last month. They were together for five years before they got married. She was 15 and he was 16 when they fell in love on their first date, Donald Frank told Patch.

The couple has three children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

"It has been the ride of a lifetime with a lot more fun ahead," Don Frank said.

Here is Don's Valentine's Day message to his wife Myrna:

"Every day without fail I tell Myrna how much I love her and how beautiful she is. And every day by her actions she shows me how much she loves me. My message to her for Valentine's Day is to always be yourself, the most unselfish loving person ever created and who lights up my life each time I look at you.

Myrna has helped me almost empty our bucket list. We have scuba dived the Red Sea in Egypt, hiked at Machu Pichu in the Peruvian Andes, camped in the Amazon Jungle, Para-sailed in Jamaica, walked the outback in Australia, visited almost every country in Europe and a large part of South America.

We were in Havana the day Castro took over and held prisoner at gun point for seven hours, Jerusalem the day of the first Intefata and she never thought twice about continuing our adventures. For her birthday a few years ago I bought her some flying lessons (what a woman) and lots more excitement to come."
