1. Crompond School Science Fair
The Crompond Intermediate School's Science Fair family night is tonight at 6:30 p.m.

'My Brother Vinny' has teamed up with Gymboree Play & Music Center to bring you their very first series of classes specifically created for community children. Please send an email at mybrothervinny@yahoo.com, if you would like event info/registration form.
Registration is due by Feb 23, 2013. Classes will be held Sunday, March 10, April 7, May 5 and June 9, 2013. These classes are free, but organizers do ask all participants to bring in a donation for a local area animal rescue.

3. Open House At Children's Corner
A new childcare facility is opening in Yorktown Heights this February. On Saturday, Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. you can visit and tour the school and meet the staff. The Children's Corner is located at 2051 Baldwin Road.
4. Freezing Weather Today
It is going to be another freezing, cold day. According to the National Weather Service, today is expected to be cloudy through mid morning before it gradually clears. The high temperatures are expected to be near 18. Wind chill values could be as low as -9. Winds will increase to 16 to 21 mph in the morning, with gusts as high as 33 mph.
5. Car Breaks-Ins in Jefferson Valley
Yorktown police are reminding residents to be cognizant of their surroundings when parking their vehicles in public parking lots and not to dismiss any behavior that seems suspicious.
Seven vehicles were broken into on Monday, Jan. 21, between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at the parking lot directly across from Toys R Us on Bank Road and the Club Fit parking lot in Jefferson Valley, police said. Read more details here.
