Readers' Choice: Vote for Your Favorite Day Spa

Patch wants to find the best place to be pampered, and needs your help

Everybody needs a little TLC sometimes. And you don't have to go to a resort in the Southwest to get it: whether it's as esoteric as a back facial or as relaxing as reflexology.

Spas are in the well-being business: that's what you walk out with (along with smoother skin or massage-melted muscles).

The nomination period is over. Now, vote for your favorite spot in the poll below—help us determine the local favorite.

Voting begins July 23 and ends August 17. The winner is determined solely by poll votes.

I'm a fan of Le Petite Spa in the Amberlands. Mary does an amazing job, and I love that everything is organic and vegan.

European Health Spa on Central Avenue. No electricity and your have to remove some plywood to get in, but ah the memories. I love pumping that rusty Universal Gym.

Health & Harmony Massage and Wellness Center. This place just opened this week and I was lucky to receive an amazing massage! I have had massages in the past, but not as relaxing as this one. It is in a cute little building between Brewster and Carmel. The owner, Heather, was so kind and welcoming. I recommend this as a must have!

My vote is for Skinchanted in Peekskill. The spa is inviting, as well as relaxing, and the rooftop patio is incredible to have lunch on! Kerry is extremely personable and truly gets to know you in order to suit the treatment to your needs.

My favorite place to be pampered is, Rub & Tug in Yonkers. Hidden in the heart of Getty Square, behind Cucarachas Domestic Assistants Inc, this mixture of pot belly chic & Palisades Amusement Park, is the creation of Jon Cusack look-a-like, "G Boy Swid." This place has everything, ticks, tube-tires, wrestling room mats, the original diving board from the Hastings pool, mulch, a nude mural of Jacque Lipshitz, old sweat socks from both Mrs. Hicks and Ms. Rutherford, and a hologram of Joe Algeo. The food by the way is off the graph, aged Inqui Potatoe Salad, grapes, elementary school chow mein ('yumm'), and their signature hot hot dogs, with everything, and I do mean everything ). If you can find it, you'll be met by two door people, seated out front on tricycles. My advice is not to try and grease D. Fox or Al Houston, they'll let you in if they feel you need pampering. Oh, and you'll need the password to get in. I shouldn't be doing this, but what the hell it's only Patch. Just whisper... "Indeed."

Mr. Lachterman, You wrote "When Councilmen Bianco, Paganelli and Patel decided that theRead More Winery did not have the right to have a public hearing on their wetlands permit, they drew a line in the sand between personal interests and all business, large or small, in Yorktown." The wetland permit was NOT for the Winery. It was town land that we--the taxpayers--own. It's not "their" permit. Do you think that we should give away--for free--any town park/wetland to any business that asks. I'm not against working out an agreement whereby we charge the winery to develop parking and an outdoor cafe seating area on our (Yorktown owned) land. But you can bet your bottom dollar that I would want to codify it with a lease and charge him market rate for it. Capitalism, not communism. Those councilman made the right choice. It looked and smelled like a giveaway to a political ally of the supervisor. The winery had no inherent right to a public hearing on what we, the taxpayer, do with our land.
