The event is part of the Somers Historical Society's activities planned over the coming year to commemorate the incorporation of Somers as Stephenstown in 1788.

From the Somers Historical Society: Celebrate the town of Somers' 225th birthday this year with a special event at the Elephant Hotel on Monday, Feb. 18 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Come in your pj's to listen to stories about historic animals, people and places in Somers or visit the Society's museum on the third floor of the Elephant Hotel and go on a scavenger hunt.

The event will be held at the Somers Historical Society Museum, located at the Elephant Hotel. A donation of $1 per child is requested (to help restore "Tony" the White Tiger). Children of members go it for free.
