Hundreds of Area Veterans Enjoy Thanksgiving Dinner [PHOTOS]

Many brought along families.

Senator Greg Ball hosted his second annual Thanksgiving dinner for area veterans and their families at the Putnam National Golf Club in Mahopac on Sunday afternoon.

More than 600 local veterans and their families enjoyed the meal prepared and served by volunteers, including local scouts. Patriotic placemats were handmade by area elementary school children in honor of the veterans.

Do you think he would host this Thanksgiving dinner after Tuesday?
It reminds me of watching Ball distributing water and ice in Lewisboro this past Tuesday in front of a TV Channel 12 camera!!!!!!!!! Vote him out !!!!!!

Who the heck cares if News 12 was there? News 12 has been all over covering anything and everything storm-related. Lee, you're right on....feeding people is not wrong, it's the right thing to do....as is meeting their needs with food, water and dry ice, during time of catastrophe and hardship. Thank you, Senator, for doing the right thing. Which is so much more than I can say for the shameful silence in Peekskill. Greg Ball's opponent was more concerned about vote-getting in Peekskill than the fact that there were still folks without power. Of all the public officials, state, county and local level, that got out there to check on their residents in the tri-state area, someone please tell me where the hell our shameful politicians were in Peekskill? Stella the Trolley will take people to the polls (laughable) but will they take folks to get groceries if they have no gas?
Next November can't get here soon enough to vote these self-serving, self-absorbed do-nothings OUT. Take politics out of the equation, and all things being equal, feeding people is the right thing to do. Real Democrats would know that.

He hosted? He "met their needs?" This is a PR release not a story. He paid for the dinners? He served them? He certainly posed for the pictures! Who provided the food and service? How was it initiated? Was he " hosting" because of his position? or because he is running again and this was done by supporters. Patch, given this is IMMEDIATELY preceding an election, the story should a bit less fawning. Maybe more like reporting?

Wow look a the haters. What was wacky Wager doing. Oh yeah right. Defending the evildoers. Ball has always stood up for veterans and always will. He has my vote. At least he has American values and stands up for those who fought for our country, not you lazy morons that sit there and whine about him.

Right on Leslie. Wacky Wagner was too busy shoving his signs in front of Ball's on Rte 22 that see if anyone needed ice, water, or food. Thank you Seantor, you have been responsive once again to peoples needs and the only complaint they can come up with is that the news was there. THANK YOU FOR STANDING UP FOR OUR VETERANS Kind sir. YOU HAVE MY VOTE! YOU ARE A TRUE PATRIOT!
