Fourth Annual Festival and Street Fair Scheduled for Oct. 7

The fourth annual Yorktown Fall Festival and Street Fair is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thousands of people are expected to came out and pack the streets for food, fun, shopping and entertainment at the fourth annual Yorktown Fall Festival and Street Fair.

Each year the Festival, which is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with a rain date on Monday, Oct. 8), gains more support and popularity. People will pack the streets along Commerce Street, Veterans Road and the Jack DeVito Field where more than 250 vendors will offer their services.

There will be something for everyone – kids rides and activities provided by Fun Time Amusements, demonstrations, concerts, shopping, food and more. By attending, organizers of the event say you can help support and celebrate the "success and pride of Yorktown businesses and organizations," all while enjoying great food, company and entertainment.

In previous years, the Festival has allowed local organizations such as the Yorktown and Mohegan fire departments, Yorktown and Mohegan Ambulance, ASK, Yorktown Nutrition Center, Lions Concert Series, Yorktown Police Department, Seabury, Hudson Valley Hospital Center, Fieldhome, Kids-to-Kids International, Teatown, Christopher Columbus Society of Yorktown, Circolo DiVinci, Knights of Columbus, Yorktown Teen Center, Pines Bridge Memorial, Yorktown Elks and John C. Hart Library to benefit as a percentage of the proceeds have been granted to those local organizations.

There are several additional organizations added to this year's Festival – the Harrison Apar Field of Dreams, St. Patricks Seniors, Lower Hudson Valley EAP, Hilltop Hanover Farm, and Support Connection.

, a breast and ovarian cancer support services organization located in Yorktown Heights, is hosting its 18th Annual Support-A-Walk event on Sunday, Oct. 7 beginning at 9 a.m. This three-mile walk through F.D.R State Park raises awareness and money to support breast and ovarian cancer.

Organizers of the Fall Festival and Street Fair said they hope everyone will attend the walk, and then continue the support by heading downtown to join them for the Festival.

If you would like to expose and promote your business or organization to more than 20,000 people, you can contact the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce at (914) 245-4599 or through email at Info@YorktownChamber.org.
