Here are five things you need to know today, Feb. 4.

2. Welcome New Blogger – Dr. Schechtman

Welcome to Dr. Richard Schechtman, who has been practicing orthodontics for children and adults in Jefferson Valley since 1989. He is an established board certified orthodontist in the Yorktown area.  In his first blog post he discusses orthodontic treatments – Invisaligh vs. braces.

3. Win Tickets to See ANNIE on Broadway

As ANNIE returns to Broadway’s Palace Theater, organizers would like to give Patch community members in New York a chance to express that same kind hope by creating their own locket inscriptions, with the best entries scoring a chance to win two tickets to see the show. Click here for more details.

4. Etch a Sketch Artist at Somers Library

Bryan Lee Madden will be exhibiting a collection of etch-a-sketch art at Somers Library during the month of February. He has been actively creating art on the vintage children's toy and creating detailed cityscapes and life-like portraits. A collection of 34 of his most recent works will be on display at Somers Library.

5. Yorktown BOE Meeting

Yorktown school board members will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the Mildred E. Strang Middle School cafeteria. For the agenda, click here.
