The New York State Department of Transportation will be conducting lane closures on the northbound Taconic State Parkway between Pines Bridge Road and Underhill Avenue on Thursday, Nov. 15 and Friday, Nov. 16 for construction activities.
Weather permitting, the lane closures will occur between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day, DOT officials said.
Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including variable message signs, work zone signs and flaggers. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver’s license, DOT officials said.
