Candlelight Vigil

A vigil in memory of the victims at Sandy Hook Elementary School was held Dec. 20.

Thanks to Kristen Burke for sharing these photos of the vigil, which was held a week after the mass shooting of students and staff in Newtown, CT.

The Yorktown community will hold a candlelight vigil on Thursday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Jack DeVito Field to mourn the 26 slain at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT.

Paula Miritello organized the vigil through her community group  My Brother Vinny

It was truly a moment all who attended will never forget, thank you Mr Grace and of course Paula for letting our children help ease a just a little of the overwhelming pain the families of the heroes and tiny angels that are in our hearts now and forever. Nick, I am so happy that you posted this video. It was absolutely beautiful hearing Nick, Brianna and Richie perform. Everyone has been talking about how beautiful the event and how incredible their performance was. I have posted it all over facebook and people are sharing the page.
