Bodybuilding Champion Opens Fitness Studio in Yorktown

Jeanette Fischetto is a certified physical fitness trainer and three-time champion of New York State Body Building Over Thirty-Five Division. She will celebrate the grand opening of her studio on Jan. 5 and Jan. 6.

She has always taken care of her body and began working out with a friend when she was 17 years old. Since then, Mahopac resident Jeanette Fischetto has won multiple fitness competition trophies and bodybuilding competitions.

"As soon I as began, I was hooked," Fischetto said of exercising. "I just loved everything about working out and how it made me feel. Little did I know that this decision would shape the rest of my life."

Fischetto, mother of three and grandmother of an 8-year-old girl, is a certified fitness trainer and an accomplished bodybuilding champion – three-time champion of New York State Body Building Over 35 Division.

As a personal trainer she has trained clients for more than 20 years before deciding to open up her own fitness studio in Yorktown – Dynamic Pulse Fitness located on Route 202.

"It is rewarding to hear my clients say how they have seen their bodies transform beyond their own expectations," Fischetto said. "Some of my clients were on numerous medications prior to starting their training program and with time they were able to reduce their dosage. It has always been a passion to share what I have been so fortunate to learn. Seeing the results is most gratifying."

Dynamic Pulse Fitness opened in September 2012 and Fischetto will celebrate the grand opening on Jan. 5 and Jan. 6, 2013. For the grand opening there will be a ceremonial ribbon cutting with local officials. In addition, there will be refreshments, raffles and a local nutritionist and massage therapist will offer free services throughout the day. For more details, click here.

The studio focuses on one-on-one personal training. It offers private training sessions that are by appointment only. Studio workout appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The studio also offers Cardio Blast classes on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The Cardio Blast Classes are open to all members and non-members of the studio. Walk-ins are welcome, but it is recommended to call ahead to ensure a training slot.

"We know everybody wants to look and feel good but is on a tight schedule," Fischetto said. "Our goal is to get you moving from one exercise to another. Making your workout as efficient as possible, maximizing effort and time."

Fischetto said she took a risk opening up her own business in an uncertain economy, but the risk is worth the reward.

"I'm excited to start this endeavor with the community," she said. "What would make it worth it to me would be the changes I can make in people’s lives. Whether it is losing weight, improving physical condition, building confidence or helping them believe in their own abilities."

Fischetto, who has worked as in-home trainer for families in Bedford, Pound Ridge, and Ridgefield, CT, has also worked at several gyms and private studios prior to opening her own. What makes her Yorktown studio different from other gyms is the private one-on-one training studio, she said.

"You receive the undivided attention of your trainer," said Fischetto, who is the sole trainer at Dynamic Pulse Fitness. "Each client’s workouts are tailored to their specific needs (we even play your favorite type of music while you exercise). Workouts are continuously changed to challenge your body and are closely monitored and recorded for progress."

In addition to her accomplishments, in 2004 Fischetto did a health television segment for Univision 27 in Needham, MA. In 2003, she was featured in ESPN’s Sports Picture of the Week worldwide. She has done two commercials: one for Kids’ Convertible furniture and one for Malta India, a Spanish beverage.

In 2013, she will be doing a professional bodybuilding show in memory of her late father Otillio Rodriquez Zapata.

Dynamic Pulse Fitness is located at 3565 Crompond Rd. in Cortlandt Manor (or the Parkside Corner Plaza on Route 202). If you have any questions, call (914) 737-7500or email jeanette@dynamicpulsefitness.com.

Are you serious?? I workout and I don't take roids and I look like that.. so where do you get that info from? What a person can't be strong and able too look cut and able she has won many championship and its all roids free!!! Get your act together Joyce..

If you look like that, I feel sorry for you. There is a difference between being in great shape, and obviously taking steroids. Look it up. Haven't you ever seen female body builders? No way can they be that 'cut' and not have cheated. Look at the women in the Olympics. They are professionals and they even have that soft muscle look. Women don't get like this unless they are juicing.

This response is for Joyce, it is obvious that you do not know Jeanette. Once again lets judge a book by its attractive cover. First of all lets set the record straight, she has never used any type of sports enhancement drug, Ever!!! She does not "cut corners or cheat" and is the most honest person I have had the pleasure of meeting. Jeanette is firmly against the use of any drug(s) for sports enhancement. The shows that Jeanette has participated in are "INBF All Natural Bodybuilding Competitions", which means all competitors are "tested" for drug use. She has been training hard for many years to achieve her current level of fitness, this did not happen overnight. The amount of dedication, desire, and love of the sport has driven her to surpass her own expectations. One of the most endearing qualities about Jeanette is her willingness to help others to achieve their own dreams. She posses a wealth of knowledge and experience in fitness which she passes on to her clients. Joyce, have you ever met person who would lite up the room when they entered it, well that is Jeanette. You are of course free to believe whatever you like, but you should come into the studio and meet with her, get to know her and then make your judgment. Her "Grand Opening" is this weekend, January 5th and 6th, 12:00pm to 4:00pm, both days. All are welcome and bring a friend. Jeanette, offers a free" no obligation" trail session to anyone who would like see if personal training is for them.

I'm sure she is a wonderful person and can teach many how to stay in shape. They are tested, but everyone knows nobody injects themselves daily.

I have known Jeanette 27 years, part of the time we lost touch, but recently I found her. Jeanette, is and always has been an inspiration, she lights up a room, she brings light to darkness literally..people have always been uplifted by her. In my life there isn't a person I have met, that has had the positive outlook no matter how hard things were , that Jeanette has had ... They say when you die if you can count 5 true friends on one hand you had a very enriched life.. She is one of those to me. I believe if everyone knew her, they would be blessed in the same way that I have been, she is that special.

Joyce, I personally know Jeanette to be of the highest integrity. I respectfully advise you to think twice before you publish libelous falsehoods about innocent people you know nothing about.
