Hundreds will march while residents watch, applaud veterans.

The annual Yorktown Veterans Day Parade will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11 in Shrub Oak.

Line-up will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Lakeland High School east entrance parking lot. The parade will step off at 2 p.m. from the high school, march east on Main Street and end at the John C. Hart Memorial Library.

A brief ceremony honoring our veterans will follow on the grounds of the library. This year's guest speaker will be Mike Romano, who served in the first Gulf War and in Somalia with the U.S. Marine Corps. Romano, a Cortlandt Manor resident, is a teacher at Yorktown High School.
