The Yorktown market continued to be strong in October. Yorktown School District has a healthy increase of 72% in the number of single family properties sold year to date and a 4% increase in the Average Sold Price. Lakeland School District has a 25% increase in the number of single properties sold year to date and a 3% increase in the Average Sold Price. While the monthly average sold price appears to be lower, both school districts have 6 properties each under contract/pending over $600,000. Sellers who position their homes at market value are finding that within the first two weeks on the market, they have multiple offers and in many cases are accepting offers for over the listing price.
