Westchester Elder Law Attorneys Anthony J. Enea and Sara E. Meyers Named “Super Lawyers”

Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP, with offices in Somers and White Plains, NY, has announced managing partner Anthony J. Enea and senior associate Sara E. Meyers have been selected by their peers for inclusion in New York Metro Super Lawyers 2013 in the field of Elder Law. This marks the seventh consecutive year Mr. Enea has been included in the Super Lawyers list, and the third time he has received recognition as a “Top 25” attorney in Westchester County.

The research team at Super Lawyers, a publication of Thomson Reuters, undertakes a rigorous, multi-phase selection process each year. Once nominations are determined through a statewide survey of lawyers, candidates then undergo independent evaluations by an attorney-led research staff and a peer review by practice area. Attorneys are recognized in more than 70 practice areas and no more than 5 percent of lawyers are selected annually in each state.

Longtime colleagues, Mr. Enea and Ms. Meyers are highly regarded for their expertise, integrity and fierce commitment to the protection of the rights of seniors, the disabled and their families. Recently named Westchester County’s Leading Elder Care Attorney at the 2013 Above the Bar Awards, Mr. Enea is also the immediate past chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section.

Mr. Enea’s practice areas include Elder Law; Medicaid Planning and Applications; Special Needs Planning; Wills, Trusts and Estates (estate litigation); and Guardianships (contested/non contested). A strong leader in Westchester’s legal community, Mr. Enea is a past president of the Westchester County Bar Association and vice-president of the Westchester County Bar Foundation. He is a member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is a past president of the organization’s New York Chapter.

A frequent lecturer for both the WCBA and NYSBA, Ms. Meyers is also an editor of the Westchester County Bar Journal and the NYSBA Elder Law Section’s Elder and Special Needs Law Journal.
