Yorktown Smart Growth is holding its second Cash Mob event on Monday, Aug. 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mohansic Grill & Lounge, located on the Westchester County Mohansic Golf Course.
Participants can enjoy a tasting of some of their most popular dishes including several pasta dishes, skewers of tomato, house made fresh mozzarella, roasted
peppers and teriyaki chicken bites. The cost is $10.
Lary and Anne Savino opened the Mohansic Grill & Lounge in 2012. They upgraded and expanded it in 2013. There is seating for 50 inside and 150 outside. Lary Savino has been in the food industry for decades and both are active in local community causes.
Yorktown Smart Growth is a group of local residents who volunteer their time to help give the people of Yorktown a voice in shaping the town’s future development and ensuring the vitality of businesses located in the hamlets.
"Smart growth is a way of building for the future that creates more vibrant, prosperous and attractive communities," Jennie Sunshine said. "Smart growth also seeks to use the latest green technologies and energy-saving techniques to build efficient, sustainable commercial and residential buildings in a walkable hamlet environment."
