Jake’s Wayback Burgers to Celebrate Grand Opening

The ribbon cutting ceremony is on Dec. 1 at 2:30 p.m. All day on Sunday you can get a free burger.

Jake’s Wayback Burgers, which prides itself on big, juicy hand-made burgers and real milkshakes, opened in Yorktown in October. The store is now celebrating its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The ceremony will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 2:30 p.m. Yorktown Supervisor Michael Grace will be present for the ribbon cutting. During the day there will be a bounce house, face painting and raffles. 

The all-day special on Sunday, Dec. 2 is a free Jake burger – customers will receive one free burger with the purchase of one burger, side fries and any drink.

Jake’s Wayback Burgers menu in Yorktown features different burgers and milkshakes every month. The burger joint is located at 96 Triangle Center. They're open 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and accept credit cards. To place and order and for more information, check out their website

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
