Best of Patch: Dessert in Yorktown

For the inaugural Best of Patch contest, we're asking you to share your favorite place to get dessert.

Our inaugural Best of Patch contest kicks off this week with something sweet...desserts! There are plenty of places to get a sweet treat for dessert in Yorktown, so we are asking, where do you go for yours?

Where is the best place in town to get dessert?

Here are some of our favorite places, but if something is missing add it in the comments and that will count as a vote! If there is a local restaurant that you think has the best ice cream, cheesecake or lemon tart in town, add it to the comments.

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please, vote only once per survey.

Tell us who has the best dessert in Yorktown. And don't forget to tell us in the comments below why.

This list is missing the best- Dream Cakes Bakery on 202. Their cakes are not only beautifully decorated, they are scrumptious! Until they opened, I used to drive a half hour to get good cakes. Everyone I've introduced to them has become a convert. Support a local business and vote for Dream Cakes!"

Agreed! Dream Cakes Bakery needs to be on this list.

Dream Cakes should definately be on the list. Beautifully decorated and great tasting desserts.

Thanks for your comments! We did not add Dream Cakes to this list because the bakery is technically located in Cortlandt and we're looking for the "Best of" Yorktown! We recognized Dream Cakes in their home Peekskill-Cortlandt Patch, so please visit that site to vote for them.

Ok. I would have thought that Augie's Prime Cut is in Cortlandt.

How about Grandma's pies? The BEST pies, the best variety, the best crusts, the best fillings - just the best.

BJ's bakery isn't nearly as good as Costco's, but they do seem to have a few decent looking cakes. And you can always get frozen Cheesecake Factory stuff there. Why isn't Yorktown Bake Shop on the list?

Geographically, if Grandma's and Augie's are on the list, Dream Cakes should also be on the list. Check a map.
