Getting Excited About the 2012 Support-A-Walk

The Support-A-Walk is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 7. Everyone is welcome.

I started the weekend with a bang. I attended the for the
2012 Support-A-Walk, picked up lots of good information on registering for
the walk and even came home with a pre-walk t-shirt.

I think I will pick out an awesome pair of new sneakers just for the event. As an 18-month ovarian cancer survivor who has greatly benefited from ’s services and programs, I am excited for this years walk and proud to be one of the .

The Walk date is Sunday, Oct. 7. Everyone is welcome. If you’ve never been I hope you will join us. It’s a great event for a great cause. If you have walked before you know it’s always a great time and I hope to see you there.

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
