It's A Wonderful Life and More: Four Theaters to Catch Your Holiday Favorites

From Miracle on 34th Street to Home Alone, you can check out your favorite holiday film at the movies this year.

Sure, you can pop in your copy of It’s a Wonderful Life on DVD. But you can also catch it—and a number of other holiday favorites—playing at various movie theaters around the area. Check out the list of films, times and places below.

 

As part of their “Movies for Kids” series—where tickets for the under-12 set are $1—the in Pleasantville is screening It’s a Wonderful Life on Dec. 17 and 18 at 1 p.m. Click here for more details.

Over at the new Ridge Hill shopping center in Yonkers, you can see a “holiday classic” every Saturday at 10 a.m. Next up is Scrooged on Dec. 3. And then on Dec. 17, it’s Home Alone. Bonus: Bring canned food, get in for no charge.  Click here for the full list of movies and more info.

Planning to play hooky from work to get some shopping done? Treat yourself to a Monday afternoon matinee screening of It’s a Wonderful Life on Dec. 5 or White Christmas on Dec. 12 at the City Center multiplex in White Plains for just $2. More here.

At the in Tarrytown you can catch the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol on Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. and on the following Wednesday—the 21st—head over to see A Miracle on 34th Street, also at 7 p.m. Click here for more info.

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
