Yorktown Lions to Kick off Summer Concert Series on June 23

The Yorktown Lions Club will kick-off their 19th annual Summer Concert Series 2013 at the Jack DeVito memorial gazebo in Yorktown on Sunday, June 23 starting at 5:15 p.m.

Yorktown Supervisor Michael Grace will preside over the opening ceremonies. Yorktown High School sophomore Catherine O'Donnell will sing the Star Spangled Banner and will be accompanied by the Yorktown Irish Pipes & Drums.

Thousands of people are expected to come out to enjoy good music, friends and food. The evening will feature The Glimmer Twins, a Rolling Stones Tribute Band, starting at 6 p.m. 

Yorktown Lions and Leos Clubs will be selling hot dogs, burgers and soft drinks. 

The concert location is the Jack DeVito Memorial Gazebo located on Veterans Road. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be indoors at the Yorktown Stage, 1974 Commerce Street in Yorktown Heights. Concerts are held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Just bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy. All concerts are presented free of charge and are open to the public.

July 7 – Java Jive – The World’s Smallest Big Band

July 21- Chain of Fools Motown Revue

August 4 – Fabulous “Sixties” Rock Show

August 18 – The Capris

Sept. 1 – 45 RPM NY
