Shenorock Woman to Exhibit Photographs at Somers Library in July

Linda Saturn will be exhibiting a collection of her photographs at The Somers Library during the month of July.

Saturn has lived in the Somers hamlet of Shenorock for the last 25 years. In that time, she has transformed her home into a serene garden retreat, which she had always dreamed of having as a child.

"Growing up in an inner-city environment, the woman cherished the thought of one day having her own little corner of the world to nurture, enjoy, and share with others," according to a statement from the library. "Her award-winning photography is an extension of that dream, preserving and celebrating what she has worked so diligently to create."

Saturn's mentor and a source of inspiration, instilling in her a love for photography, music, gardening, and so much more, was her father Joseph.

"Her photography focuses on the awe inspiring splendor of nature and the fascinating intricacies of its design," according to the statement.

A reception will be held at the library on Saturday, July 13 from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
