Following a rare October snow storm that left thousands without power, Senator Greg Ball (R, C -- Patterson) has planned a free barbecue dinner tonight in Yorktown Heights.

"The fact is that from Irene until now we are still prone to a natural disaster, and I am watching closely to see how the utilities respond," he said. "Along with every member of my staff, I am working day and night to make sure folks have comfort and are safe and secure during these trying times. I feel everyone's pain and just want to do everything I can. Hopefully a warm meal will cheer folks up!"

Ball has prepared to feed up to 300 people, and will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, pulled pork, salads and beverages. Food will be served to as many people as possible, but will be on a first come, first serve basis.
