Peekskill Woman Becomes Branch Manager of Bank in Mohegan Lake

Cathy Corbi, a Peekskill resident, has been appointed as branch manager of Apple Bank for Savings in Mohegan Lake. She will begin her new position on Nov. 1.

Corbi has been a longstanding executive with the bank. After 26 years of managing Apple Banks’s Thornwood branch, she will continue her service within Westchester by leading the bank’s newly acquired branch.

At the Thornwood branch, the woman was "not only committed to providing the right banking solutions to meet customer needs and the best service possible, but was also actively involved with customers and the community," according to a statement.

Corbi opened the branch to host weekly events for the senior citizen quilting group," The Apple Quilters," and provided "Banking Day" bank tours for local elementary school students to teach them about the importance of saving.

In addition, under her leadership, Apple Bank annually contributed to local community theater productions and co-sponsored and participated in various community initiatives, like the annual "Fall Foliage" festival.

When Apple Bank acquired 29 bank branches in May, including three in Westchester, Corbi was handpicked to represent the bank at its new Mohegan Lake branch.

In her new role, she will remains committed to serving the needs and interests of residents within the area. Corbi said she hopes to implement similar community initiatives to build strong, lasting relationships with customers in Mohegan Lake.
