More Snow in Forecast for Yorktown, Somers

Predictions of 1 to 3 inches are in the forecast for Saturday.

Enjoy the mostly sunny—but chilly—weather Friday in Yorktown and Somers because Saturday will take a turn for the white stuff.

The National Weather Service is predicting 1 to 3 inches of snow during the daylight hours Saturday, mainly after 9 a.m. Snow is forecast to continue into Saturday night with less than one inch additional.

The high Saturday will be near 32 degrees, with a calm wind becoming northeast at 5 mph during the afternoon. The temperature will dip overnight to around 21. Winds from the northwest will be 7 to 9 mph.

Sunday is predicted to be mostly sunny, though breezy—11 to 21 mph from the northwest. The high will be hear 35.

As of Friday, the weather service isn't forecasting any more precipitation through New Year's Day.
