Mohegan Lake Native Finds Success at Accounting Firm in Manhattan

Alexis Imprescia – a Mohegan Lake native and recent SUNY University at Albany graduate – has found success at Ernst & Young, an accounting firm in Manhattan. She credits the university as the springboard to her success.

"I enrolled at UAlbany because of the great reputation of its business program and its location, and I definitely made the right choice," said Imprescia, now a tax accountant in Manhattan at Ernst & Young, which is considered one of "The Big Four" international accounting firms.

"Where else would be the best place to be to pursue a career in New York, other than in the capital of New York?" Imprescia said.

She received her Bachelor’s in accounting and her Master’s Degree in taxation. Imprescia said that unlike fellow accountants in Manhattan, she was able to graduate with no student loan debt.
