Help Find This Puppy's Owner

Mohegan Lake resident Linda Caffrey found a dog late Tuesday evening, Oct. 18, running along Mohegan Avenue and she needs your help finding its owner.

The dog was scared, had his tail between his legs and was shaking, she said. Caffrey said the dog was wearing an electric fence collar but there was no tracker, chip or information.

The woman, who has been caring for the dog since, said she has not had any luck finding who the dog belongs to. She has contacted the Yorktown Police Department and the Putnam County Sherriff's office, as well as vets in the area, the Putnam Humane society and the SPCA of Westchester.

"He has no chip and no tags," Caffrey said of the dog. "He is about 18 months, well cared for and not neutered. Very well behaved and lovable!"
