Beaches of Italy, Spending Time with Grandchildren: My Best Summer Was...

In celebration of summer, we are asking local officials and residents to recall their favorite summer memories in our new feature “My Best Summer Was...”

Check out Yorktown Councilman Nick Bianco's recollection of his favorite summer below.

What is your favorite summer destination: We (my wife and I) like the beach. Every year we go to St. Kitts, Italy. What I like about the beach, it's very quiet, not a lot of people know where it is. It's not too expensive and the beaches are beautiful. 

My best summer memory is... Touring the island. There was an old sugar plantation and the train would bring the crop. They've kept the train and made it into a tour line. 

This summer I'm most looking forward to... my grandchildren coming to Yorktown from Germany for the week. They will spend 10 days here.
