A.G. Williams Donates $2,750 to Support Connection

Fourth-generation Pelham painting company donates portion of profits to the Yorktown-based non-profit organization Support Connection.

Following its successful 2011 Paint It Pink – Paint It Teal fundraising campaign, A.G. Williams Painting Company again conducted the Paint it Teal in September in honor of National Ovarian Cancer Month and Paint it Pink October through December in honor of breast cancer awareness. In connection with these campaigns, the company is donating $2,750 to Support Connection, a Yorktown-based not-for-profit organization that offers free, confidential support services to people nationwide who are affected by ovarian and breast cancer.

A.G. Williams believes that it is important to give back to the community. “Breast cancer and ovarian cancer continue to deeply impact people in our Westchester County and southern Fairfield County communities,” says Paul Viggiano, Director of Business Administration and Marketing at A.G. Williams. “A.G. Williams wants to do its part to help fight these diseases by strengthening our relationship with Support Connection so that they can continue to provide emotional, social and educational support services to women, their families and friends.”

As part of its support, A.G. Williams participated in the 18th Annual Support A Walk on Sunday, Oct. 7, at FDR Park in Yorktown. A.G. Williams employees also raised awareness by wearing pink tee-shirts at job sites during the month of October.

“We appreciate the efforts of A.G. Williams to support our efforts in providing critical free and confidential counseling and support services to people impacted by breast and ovarian cancer,” says Katherine Quinn, Executive Director of Support Connection.

A.G. Williams Painting Company is located at 411 Pelham Avenue, Pelham, NY, 914-738-2860, with offices at 26 Arcadia Road in Old Greenwich, CT, 203-618-0058. www.agwilliamspainting.com/

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
