10U Girls Softball – Patch Cobras Are the Championship Winners

Saturday morning the 10U YAC Girls Softball Championship game was played at the softball diamond.

The Cobras faced the Rattlers and the atmosphere was filled with excitement. The game was extra special since there was an announcer who introduced the lineup for both teams at the start of the game and provided the score updates throughout the game.

Everyone in attendance stood for the National Anthem and the ballgame began! The crowd cheered as the girls took to the field ready to play ball! It was an exciting, nail biting, back and forth game between these two teams. There was great pitching, hitting and fielding and both teams battled it out.

The Cobras beat the Rattlers by the score of 12-11. At the end of the game, the Cobras received 1st  place medals and the Rattlers received 2nd place medals.

The players on the Cobra team are: Alyssa Albano, Selina Bernat, Haley Foss, Jenna Hughes, Bria Moran, Alanna Moskowitz, Christina Ruvo, Hailey Soliz, Nicole Sweeney, Lexi Vespucci, Olivia Zanon, Alexa Zuckerman. The Cobras coaches are Sean Moran and Matt Albano.

First of all, I don't understand why teachers are paying for anything out of pocket when the supplyRead More lists that parents receive at the end of the summer are as long as their arms. Secondly, SOCIETY lets the kids down?!?!? I think the school taxes in Yorktown should be sufficient so that the teachers don't have to pay any out-of-pocket expenses. SOCIETY does not let the kids down, it is those who are in control of the school tax monies who let the kids down. Perhaps the administrators should take salary cuts, or maybe we should even eliminate some of those administrative positions. No teacher should have to pay for supplies out of pocket.
