Yorktown Adult Day Care Ribbon Cutting; Somers Chess Club Class; Deacon Removed;

1) Yorktown town board members will meet Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. Click here for the agenda.

2) Somers High School sophomore Adam Circle will lead a Chess Club class for students in grades 3-5 on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Somers Library from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Registration is needed.

3) On Oct. 3, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., The Margeliz Center for adult day care will be holding a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at their new location in the old French Hill School located at 2051 Baldwin Road in Yorktown Heights. The center helps those with Stroke, Parkinson's, Neurological Impairments, Alzheimer's, and generalized weakness, in a loving and caring environment. 

4) Parishioners of Croton-on-Hudson’s Holy Name of Mary were greeted Sunday morning with an unsavory letter from New York Archbishop Timothy Michael Dolan announcing the removal of Deacon Albert Mazza for sex abuse allegations. More details here.

5) Tuesday's weather will be mostly sunny, with a high near 75, according to the National Weather Service.
