Performances are on Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Yorktown High School auditorium.

Students from the Mildred E. Strang Middle School will perform “The Little Mermaid Jr." on Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Yorktown High School auditorium.

Based on the Hans Christian Andersen story and adapted from Disney’s 2008 film, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. First, she'll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she’s the girl with the enchanting voice.

The music is by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, book by Doug Wright.
